Whistler's Winter Activities:

There are lots of activities that don't involve skiing...or necessarily even snow!   Contact us for more information and bookings!

Outdoor Activities:

  • Snowshoeing-If you can walk, you can snowshoe! Guiding, instruction and rentals are available for evening snowshoe walks followed by a fondue dinner or an outdoor cookout; or join in an après-ski snowshoe tour over scenic forest trails on Whistler Mountain.   • Snowmobiling-Feel the power and the exhilaration of snowmobiling along snow covered logging roads and mountain bike trails. These snow machines will whisk you high into alpine bowls, and around huge thousand year old trees. Tours are available for all levels and include qualified guides, snowsuits, helmets, warm boots, a gourmet meal and transportation to and from the village.  We like Cougar Mountain Snowmobile Adventures and Canadian Snowmobile Adventures.

 

  • Cross Country Skiing-More than 28 kilometres (17.5 miles) of track set cross-country trails wind through the scenic Lost Lake, Chateau Whistler Golf Course and Nicklaus North Golf Course trails. Additional track-set trails around the Whistler Golf Course offer an ideal beginners' route. Cross-country ski trail maps and rental equipment information are available at Cedar Springs B&B Lodge.
  • Sleigh Rides-Whether is be a fun filled sleighride for the whole group or a romantic horse-and-carriage ride for two, we will book excursions for up to 14 people to tour the picturesque Whistler and Pemberton areas. Evenings often include hot chocolate, bonfires and sing alongs.

    Heli-Skiing is the perfect activity for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders looking to add a thrilling new dimension to their ski vacation. Embark on a powder fantasy and enjoy 8,000-10,000+ vertical feet of skiing.

    A range of packages, including heli-orientation, guide services, gourmet lunches and transportation are offered. You can also rent special powder skis to give you that ultimate "floating sensation" no matter what your ability.

  • Fishing (river and ice)-  Salmon fishing year round near Squamish and ice fishing when the lakes freeze over.

  • Ice Skating-Enjoy indoor ice skating and drop in hockey at Whistler's Meadow Park Sports Arena located a five minute walk from our front door. During the colder months of the winter you can also skate on one of the five lakes in the valley. Skate rentals are available at the arena and public skating hours are available by calling (604) 938-PARK. -
