"Cedar Springs Lodge, 2 miles outside Whistler Village (though easily accessible via the new Whistler bus system), has the most reasonable rates of all the charming pensions in Whistler.  The exterior of this two-story home is similar to the alpine chalets of the other inns in town, but inside, Cedar Springs stands alone in providing creature comforts.

Hostess Jackie Rohde, a lively young woman with a knack for making you feel right at home, keeps the room decor simple and sweet-plump comforters cover firm beds with polished wood headboards" (or Solid pine log beds) "Some rooms have in-suite baths stocked with toiletries, two others share baths.

Joern Rohde cooks breakfast, served in the fireside dining room, which includes a cold buffet with breads, fruits and cereals; and hot dishes such as fruit pancakes with strawberries and cream and eggs Benedict."
