FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
It's a BOY!
We had a baby Boy on the 30th of April
Kristjan Joern Rohde was born April 30th, 1998 at Lions Gate Hospital in North
Vancouver. Here's what he had to say:
Hi! August 12, 1998
My name is Kristjan Joern Rohde. I arrived on April 30 at 11:05 PM. I weighed 8 LB 12 oz
(4.975 kg); I was 21 inches long (55cm). I have my Mommy's huge feet and my Daddy's cute
ears! My life is great! I get to eat at the most wonderful table. The food is great at
this B&B.
I am training my parents every day. They do neat new tricks every day. I am starting to
train them to fetch. It's really funny to see them chasing after my toys. I think my Mommy
has more fun with my toys than I do! Daddy tells wonderful stories. He looks really silly
when he does them! I laugh lots! I am growing very quickly. I am bigger than 95% of the
kids my age (3 ½ months). I now weigh 15 lbs. 10 oz. and am 66cm long. I am really
flexible. I just found these neat things at the end of my feet that are really fun to
suck! I can almost wrap these appendages (not a bad word for 3 ½ months!) around my
Daddy's finger. For some reason he likes to call me monkey!? I like it much better when
Mommy calls me Tiger! GGGRRRRRR!!! (one of my Daddy's favourite sounds).
I have to go and fill my diaper now to give the folks something to do. I really think they
get waaayyyyyy too much sleep.
Bye Bye for now, Love Kristjan!
(Jackie and Joern send their love and best wishes as well!)
He's now 6 1/2 months, 20 lbs, first two teeth, standing, crawling and the best baby in
the world! (of course!)

Thanks Rod, for these:

Typical proud parent stuff; two new top front teeth, walking beside the couch at
8 1/2 months, swimming like a champion (chlorine in the blood, I'm sure!), crawling 100
miles per hour, eats dirt and cat food...typical baby stuff...but a little earlier than
normal. Most importantly he flirts well with all women! (a proud father here!)
Kristjan's first training sessions:
