Rising one vertical mile from a village of award-winning West Coast architecture, Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains offer the greatest vertical rise of any ski area in North America, and its massive high-alpine terrain rivals the major ski resorts of Europe.

#1 in North America for Terrain

Twelve magnificent bowls, three glaciers and more than 200 marked trails - steep powder chutes, challenging mogul fields, secluded tree skiing and groomed-to-perfection cruising runs - offer skiers and snowboarders endless enjoyment.

The terrain mix at Whistler/Blackcomb is 20% novice, 55% intermediate and 25% expert, ensuring that skiers and snowboarders of every level and age group have the experience of a lifetime!

#1 in the World for High-Speed Lifts

Whistler/Blackcomb may receive the most skier/boarder visits in North America, yet our lift lines continue to be the shortest. SKI Magazine agrees; they rate Whistler/Blackcomb Number One on the continent for lift lines in their 1996 rankings.

Continuing to surpass all other ski resorts in the world, Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains have recently added three new high-speed lifts to the existing network:

  • CREEKSIDE GONDOLA - Whistler Mountain's latest addition to its high speed lifts, the six-passenger full-enclosed Creekside Gondola, whisks skiers and boarders in just 6 minutes from the Creekside base to connect with the Redline Express and access to the alpine.

  • EXCALIBUR GONDOLA - Blackcomb Mountain's eight-passenger gondola - and Excelerator Express, a connecting express quad - offer uploading from Whistler Village and a convenient midstation base.

  • HARMONY EXPRESS - Whistler Mountain's newest high-speed quad opens up access to four bowls and 1,200 acres of high-alpine terrain.

Whistler/Blackcomb now boasts 12 express lifts - the most in the world - in a total lift system of 30. There are also five different mountain bases to speed up access to the alpine.

And if you are looking for nourishment while spending your day on the slopes, you will never have to go far. Whistler and Blackcombīs numerous restaurants will be sure to fulfill all culinary desires.
