We have 18 mountain bikes for rent from the lodge and can point you in the right direction for your ability. When possible, Joern is also available for guiding. Adult and kids bikes as well as trailer and tag-a-long. Downhill bikes and passes available from the lodge. Mountain Biking Mountain biking is Whistler’s favourite sport - if there isn’t any snow. Whether you are careening down the Whistler Mountain bike park at high-octane speeds or just leisurely peddling over the valley trail, there’s something for everyone. In the Valley Bikes, gear, helmets, bikes for the kids…everything is readily available to rent from us here at the lodge. The valley trail extends through the entire Whistler valley past the golf courses, lakes, shops, residential areas, rivers and hotels. It’s a lovely low-grade level, paved trail for everyone. The best thing to do is pick up a map from us and just head out. Names like Logger’s Lake, Big Kahuna, and White Knuckles are just a few of the hundreds of mountain biking trails that range from the moderate to the extreme on the difficulty level. A new bridge over Cheakamus Gorge offers even more unbeatable mountain terrain. If you’ve gone too far and can’t get back, not to worry. Whistler’s public bus has bike racks on the front. Bike Tours If you’re timid about exploring on your own, guided tours can easily be arranged that are good for novice, intermediate and expert riders. Descents from the top of Whistler Mountain, much higher than the Mountain Bike Park, as in 4000 feet high, are also available to book. Ever heard of heli-biking tours? Guides take you and your mountain bike far beyond Whistler to helicopter access only terrain where the views and terrain is unbeatable. Lift off with air access to remote alpine areas where its just you, your mountain bike and thousands of vertical thrills.
