What's New Press Release
Super Park
Located on Blackcomb Mountain, this controlled Super Park offers the biggest
hits on the mountain.
Terrain parks for all levels are maintained daily on both mountains, but the
Super Park distinguishes itself by catering strictly to advanced and expert
skiers and snowboarders.
- The Super Park is split in half, the left side
for experts and the right side for advanced users.
- There are two “hike a rail” sections separate
from the jumps to provide jibbing and jumping all within one area.
- The rails and jibs in the park will be the
most difficult and meets the needs of enthusiasts who are at the top of their
game.
- Other features include big tabletops, hips,
spines.
Whistler Half Pipe
The Whistler half pipe located off the Emerald
Express is reintroduced this year.
Family Zone
Representing a new trend in the resort industry,
Whistler Mountain is now home to the resort's first Family Zone in Green Acres
off the Emerald Express.
Similar to a traffic school zone, the Family Zone
features a large slow skiing area of the mountain ideal for families and for
warm-up runs.
Slope Improvements
Substantial summer grooming and snow fencing was
added to ensure some of the best early-season conditions in Canada.
- Snowmaking around the Olympic area was
expanded
- Many trails and ski-outs from the mountains
were widened and shaped.
